Protein Structure Prediction in 2D

Daniel Gusenleitner presented results from his ongoing bachelor thesis. He used the latest HeuristicLab 3.0 to implement a problem which in the area of Bioinformatics is known as Protein Structure Prediction (PSP). He explained some of the biological basics and generally the structure of a protein before continuing to talk about the implementation. For his approach he currently settled with a 2D space, but plans to go to 3D next. Finally he showed some very interesting results of several solutions that he had computed with a Genetic Algorithm.
